I have a dog who isn’t interested in treats and one thing I find I do struggle with in training is using praise instead of treats without getting him over excited. But I’m definitely going to use your place training from tomorrow. Bertie gets so over excited when visitors come. All your other great tips I’ve been doing since I got him. Can’t wait to add the place training to his daily routine
Has anyone else tried ? I keep seeing people get results with it and I'm curious if it actually lives up to the hype. Thinking about giving it a go this week.
I love your videos- I really appreciate the format, and that you're teaching so much more than just sit and lay etc. One thing that stuck out was your loose leash video and that much of the good behavior stems from that- it teaches impulse control making the other commands that much easier (place, heel etc). I would have put that last on my list of things to teach- thinking that some of the others were "more important"- so thanks so much!
Thank you so much for these videos!!! I’ve had dogs that made life miserable and it was because I trained incorrectly. We’ve binge watched your videos as a family to do it right this time.
Will your course address how to train littermates? I have two 3-year-old Weimaraners that were board-trained for 2 weeks, separately, using a Mini Educator shock collar.
I just adopted a four year old Doberman. I can't get rid of the dog smell. I washed his bed three time with detergent and oxyclean. Still smells. I gave him a bath, still smells. How do I get rid of the dog smell?
I have one of those 'annoying dogs' A rescue who was obviously trained to go berserk with joy and bark when anyone comes near the home He's getting better… I'm told, but crikey, it's hard
I’ve been so discouraged. It’s like my dog is deaf lol. He doesn’t listen to anything. I’ve been working on the place command for months and he still hasn’t gotten it.
How interesting how different breeds behave. We sadly lost our standard poodle who passed away in February. He was the smartest, most amazingly well behaved dog I’ve ever seen. Training him was so easy, showed him something once and he just did it. He was like a well behaved human. Poodles are incredibly intelligent.

What brand is the green cot the German Shepherd pup is on?
Bull crap! My dog will ALWAYS have kibble when she wants it!!
I’m getting a 12 week old puppy. You make it so easy.
If I delay putting down the food, my floor will be swimming with drool!

What if something happens to you. Your dog should be able to choose without waiting for permission.
Good
Damn, I did not even finish the video and it is well done.
But how do I teach this all too my dog 😢
Thank you for making it clear that a dog that does tricks is not the kind of obedient dog we want, that's just a circus animal.

I lost control and was left with a broken finger shame and here love this much needed education 🤟🏼🌍
can you tell me how to make this happen then 🙂
My dog runs through the door as soon as it's opened. How do I change that behaviour?
Love the Paw like button! ☝️😄👍 🐾

So entertaining and fun! Hope you have great health and joy, add me please!
1. No free-feeding. Dog has to look at you and eat only when you give the break command.
2. Barriers. Dog is allowed to jump on sofa only with your command and he also has to get off on cue.
3. Threshold manners. You open door, dog has to look at the human for guidance and remain calm.
4. Important to teach the "place" command as it will develop impulse control and good manners.
5. Do 1-2 OBEDIENCE training sessions per day. 5 commands are enough (e.g., come, heel, place, sit, stay, break) and it doesn't have to be long.
Is there a particular reason you choose the left side for the heal and walking?
I have a 4 month old.
The major key to training is following through 100% of the time; cutting corners confuses your dog.
Follow through!
I have a 2 month old puppy, at what age do you start doing these types of drills? I want to start now 🤣
Yeah, Your Nuts!
I think his point isn't to inspire jealousy, but to inspire ways to have a relationship with dogs.
