This video is great!!! But as we have the same experience as you with our first miniature American Shepherd ๐ซฃ we would love to hear your advice on how to reprogram or transform these โinventedโ behaviours now? She is almost two years old, reactive and so demanding of attention. My questions are: can we use the same advices now or do we need to think differently as she is not a puppy any more? And do you have a video about how to change patterns when already having made these mistakes?
I mean, we as a family got a rescue from Greece as our first dog. Little puppy. Very scared and insecure, and we weren't able to be that person for her to reassure her and teach her, so when she was around 1,5 years old, we had to put her down because there were no trainers around to help us, nothing we tried worked, and the rescue wouldn't take her back (which was contract, she had to go back to that rescue, we weren't allowed to rehome her to someone ourselves).
I live with a pack of 7 malinois and 2 border collies. all of this is sound advice without being pretentious, and absolutely foundational. thank you for posting this.
I got an 8 week old puppy. Took him out the 2nd day and bring him every where with me, the store, to my properties I'm working on, lots of hiking and dog park. 1st day he was scared and whimpering a bit, we're on day 5 and he's already comfortable riding in the car and being in new situations and around other dogs. Only problem are the Karen's I come across scolding me for taking him out so young and I need to wait til he's 4 months ๐
We have two cats who share space with the new puppy, and I'm not sure we could use a house line without the cats chasing and pouncing on the line! I don't know if I have it in me to lock the cats in a room most of the day.
I briefly worked with a trainer because I needed someone to train me how to train my dog. Some helpful advice he gave me: go to the fence outside a dog park and train there. Itโs very stimulating, but removes all the variables that can make dog parks a nightmare. Walk further away from the fence if itโs getting too stimulating. Try moving closer again and praise when they ignore the other dogs and focus on you.

How do you teach your dog to stop taking treats from other people?
Dogs ae not meant to stay in your bed. THey need to see the world.
Yes but what if you didn't rescue until they were 20 weeks lol?
Haha the honesty was brutal in this one
Thank you SO much. โค
I had to re-watch the last quarter of this video, as I was preoccupied imaging a cake-only diet.

Keep upp the good work๐ช๐ฝ๐ฅ
Monkey see, monkey do can work, but you have to know which monkey to follow.
Puppies left longer with parents – 10-12 weeks – do better.
My god this rings so true.
Would you do the food replacing treat thing for a Great Dane? As they can get bloat
Dude you should sell some merch. I love your training sweatshirt
with respect to you . i did better with my dog once i stopped listening to people tell me what to do. i could go on.
Idiot
Don't listen to this fool.
Plenty of people on here with good information or pay a professional, don't let your dogs lives be affected by complete fools like this.
Would you take child advice off of someone who said " yh, social services took my first kid but the rest are finez I learned my lesson"

Not him only going after black dogs initially ๐๐ . My dog did this to only brown dogs in the vet emergency waiting room. Soooo embarrassing

Loved this video thank you โค๐
This was super helpful ๐
Any difference between a house line and giving a yank on the collar followed by a diversion?
