Great video! I wouldn't recommend that much water in the puppy mash for the first few feedings. Puppies learning to eat can asperate. You want it wet but not watery.

My sweetheart got out to go visit the male doggy next door, now I'm terrified because I don't want to see her in one ounce of pain so my heart is going to be so hurt.. I've already bought a whelping pen… And have plenty of blankets and towels… Now I need the strength to help her…

This is the first I'm hearing about vets being as helpful as you describe during delivery of puppies (unless delivery conveniently occurs between 9am and 5pm on a weekday.) Emergency vets are available here after hours (after 5pm and until 7am), but not via phone call or face time. And owners must transport the dog in labor to emergency vet and just leave her with strangers. Unless an emergency c section is necessary, most owners don't want to drop off their dogs during labor! Its harder than in the past when vets were sole proprietors.
I really didn't want to raise a litter of puppies but that's what I get for my significant other spiting me

I'm so glad I found this video because I'm not sure what my next steps are for my now 5 week old pups.
My yorkie just gave birth on her birthday, October 8th, to a litter of 5. you do not want to wipe the puppies with towels. I totally took my gloves off and opened the sack. And put it in her face and she started licking away. they eat the placenta. They eat the umbilical cord and they clean the puppies up. She was so big she couldn't reach her back in to clean the second one so I was moving them along as she Was having them. the only one I had to use the little pump for the nose to clean. It was the first one because she had no clue what to do. I had to open the sack for her. And after the first one it was easy. you will possibly have to Help them nurse if they're tiny by putting them on the nipple and opening their mouth a little bit. let nature take its course. Theor mother's tongue cures them. The placenta is life and food. ❤
