Everything you advise is well done, just one point – if your puppy has more than one specific toy or chew that’s his alone, he can’t distinguish between what’s ok to chew and not. Dogs don’t need lots of toys, that’s a marketing strategy we fall for! One toy he knows is okay to chew will help them – and your sanity 😊
Almost 15 week old Siberian husky and bad lab mix has been biting everyone to get our attention and to initiate play, but she’s breaking skin and her husky side likes to argue with us when we try to stop it
What do for a 12 week old lab when you do the redirection/correction and it only makes them more determined to do the action (in reference to biting human/leash/eat leaves and grass, etc).
My red nose is just over 1 year and he don't just chew he eats stuff, them lil bones you showed i have a Yorkie he swallowed his bone , threw it up, eats the toes out of my socks, I have to put my pillows in the closet he humps & shakes tears em up! He's super smart tho I can lay his food down hell wait til I say go ahead! He was giving paw & sitting n laying down for treats in 2 days , when he's amped , he's super quick jumps the fence .. he's neutered btw still humping?!
Im gearing up for being a puppy very soon. This was the most helpful video I've found so far. All others ive watched said things like "You want to replace the behavior" but wouldn't tell or show how. Thank you so much for this in depth video!!
Good points. But toward the end… uff. Always gets me that people choose to get a dog, and then leave it home in a crate for 8+ hours a day. Not cool. Get a pet rock. 😅
I think our puppy is being mischievous on purpose so she can be corrected and get the reward. 😂 she's a golden btw. # sassy, stubborn, and super cute 😅
Do you think this would work for a 1 year old that hasnt been socialized? We rescued and finding out hes super mouthy and has no idea that biting people is a no no. He doesnt draw blood he really is just playing in the only way he knows.
Im really struggling with this method that my husband brought to us. A video of a man who corrects his or a puppy/dog with like tsk sound and two finger poke like a sneak attack or something. But it was on an older dog maybe a puppy but my puppy is about 8 9 weeks old and so ive been doing and his bites hurt its not that its he pulls like its a toy and I really try not to react hes a hound pit mix and anyway he gets mad and growls and goes harder and I just have to pick him up and go no and take it from his mouth and then I keep trying to give him different toys and reward when he has the toys then I think okay. When hes really bitey hes tired so i have to put him up and say its break time nappy time and then I can relax bc I feel like its intense.. Anyway we dont have a pinch collar but im wondering what to do if my husband would get one. He is getting on my about this method and think im doing it but then he tells me im not doing it right that im doing like a paddle on the butt and im like well the guy says to do it louder and harder but gosh I dont like it and his bites hurt. Im pretty okay at not reacting but you know im a woman whatever it hurts. So I have 3 kids 3 8 10 and im just worried I wont have a handle on it.. im trying to get a handle on this. Please help me let me know how to handle this situation…im just going to keep watching more of your videos. Thanks.. I know ots a hard road in the beginning and the more you keep on it the better well all be ..
My dog would nip and chew more when she needed to pottie. If I took her out, when we came back in she wouldn't want to bite/chew anymore and would relax. It took forever for me to figure it out, but I finally realized it was her way of saying she wanted out.

You waste so much time talking about nothing over and over do you ever get to the point
is 6-8 weeks too young to carry out this type of training?

Nipping isn't so bad. Skin heals, fi gernails grow back, bones mend.
My puppy bites my fingers when i am training him. What should i do so he doesn't bite?
But is that bad for their neck especially during boke development
Man mines like 2 or 3 years old, it is getting better but I just don't see him stopping
He has a big ass bunion

what age can you start this? 2 months? earlier?
This doesn’t work for me!! I even bought the correction collar and she gets even more upset, her nips are turning into actual bites. She’s 12 weeks
What kind of a leash is that you cut?

Great advice!
Sweet baby Jesus. The moment you squeezed that toy, my 80lbs staffies ears shot up and he started eyeballing my phone. Scariest showdown ever lol
Ugh stop talking and just get to the actual instructions!
If you really think that’s puppy biting …you haven’t met met mine…I defy ANY trainer to stop her!😱
My dagw climbs me stares at me and when i begin to pet her she snaps like a freakin Aligator😂
How long did it take you to get Barry to stop biting
